Hi there!

I’m Kerrie, a family travel enthusiast and the storyteller behind this website.

Exploring the world with my son has been one of the most rewarding adventures of my life, and I’m here to share tips, stories, and ideas to make family travel fun, manageable, and unforgettable.

I planned on starting this as a general blog about the adventure of being a family – Every day is chance for new adventures in ‘Family Land’! – but also decided to make it about any travels we’ve done over the years too, so the name now fits in even more.

On this site, you’ll find guides for family-friendly destinations, practical advice for traveling with little ones, and plenty of inspiration for creating adventures that everyone – from toddlers to grandparents – can enjoy. I believe that travel is about more than seeing new places; it’s about bonding, making memories, and teaching kids to embrace the world around them.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a multi-country adventure, my goal is to help your family explore the world with ease, joy, and a few laughs along the way.

My little shadow and myself are looking forward to sharing our family adventures with you and can hopefully provide inspiration for you to have your own adventures too – however big or small – after all, some of the biggest smiles I’ve seen from little man have simply been in our own back garden, hunting for bugs.

You will find our social media pages are branded as Explore with Kez (I’m Kez!). This is because, in addition to this website, we run another more adult-orientated site – thewanderstation.com – where you can find more adult-friendly escapes and adventures.

At Explore with Kez, we believe that travel is for everyone, no matter the stage of life. While our roots are in family adventures and creating magical moments for all ages, as my son grows up I realised that the joys of travel extend far beyond family trips. As a long-time traveller myself, pre-kids I experienced the beauty of solo journeys, couple retreats, and adult getaways, and now my son is growing, those solo trips are sneaking back in, so I wanted to share inspiration and those experiences too.

By broadening our focus, we aim to inspire and connect with a diverse community of travellers. Whether you’re planning a family holiday, seeking a romantic escape, or embarking on a solo adventure, we’re here to guide and inspire you every step of the way. Our mission is to celebrate all forms of travel, ensuring that everyone can find inspiration and guidance, no matter their travel style.
